Boyd Coddington Edition
Ford F150
Advanced Truck builds a hot rod
F150 you can own
August 25, 2006
When new trucks roll off the assembly line at
Ford, they are usually headed straight for a dealer's lot. There they
sit among rows of trucks, each one much like the others. Now imagine
what would happen if a few of those trucks got lost on their
way to the dealer, and ended up at a hot rod shop. A few days and a few modifications
later,
you might end up with something like the Boyd Coddington Edition
F-150, the envy of stock trucks everywhere.
Thanks to Advanced Truck you can own such an F-150,
complete with styling cues taken from legendary hot rod
builder, Boyd Coddington. Everything from the smooth exterior to the
luxuriously styled interior are given the Boyd Coddington touch, a
complete makeover to creates one of
the best looking new trucks you can buy.
To get things started, the truck is lowered and leveled using Ground
Force suspension equipment. The truck wears custom-designed Flare
wheels by Boyd Coddington. These new 1-piece
chrome wheels
measure
22-inches in diameter, and are wrapped with low-profile Nitto
performance tires.
Up front, the grill and bumper receive billet
aluminum inserts
from Carriage Works. The door handles are replaced by chrome billet
pieces, and the Ford emblems are replaced by Boyd Coddington's
signature engraved in a billet, and then bathed in chrome.
The exterior package features a set of
low-profile Street Scene sport mirrors, and continues at the rear,
where you will find smooth bed rail and tailgate caps painted to match. Nothing says hot rod better than a powerful rumble,
and this truck emits some serious sounds thanks to the Magna Flow exhaust system.
A pair of
polished
stainless steel tips exit on the passenger side, just in front of the rear
axle.
Inside, the truck features custom leather seating
by Classic Soft
Trim. The combination of smooth black leather and light gray suede inserts
is accented with red stitching, and the seats are embroidered with the
Boyd Coddington signature. The
instrument panel has been upgraded with a similar treatment, including brushed stainless steel
gauge faces with red numerals and black trim from Nu-Image.
Each Boyd Coddington Edition truck is numbered and
only a few hundred will be built. To find out how you can own one, contact Advanced
Truck at 866-305-9100.
